In our dry Colorado climate, wildfire risk is a reality that deserves consideration. If you have decided on a specific plan of removing brush or trees we can complete the work for you. If you need assistance deciding what should be done we are happy to work with you to make a plan that suits your needs and budget. Often we work with homeowners that have been told by their homeowner's insurance company that they need to do fire mitigation work to avoid policy cancelation or rate increases.
Ordinarily we bring a compact track loader (skid steer) with a mulching attachment to grind brush and trees into mulch. We have invested heavily in brand new equipment that can complete work quickly and efficiently. Our main machine is designed specifically for forestry work and is the highest horsepower unit in its class. The high horsepower rating and more specifically the industry leading hydraulic flow to the mulcher attachment allows us to be very efficient in mulching brush and trees in a highly maneuverable machine. For high acreage properties and large projects we have options to bring larger equipment as necessary.
Depending on the project, sometimes it is most efficient to use a small excavator to maneuver through trees that will remain to knock over and pull out the dead material. And in certain situations, an excavator feeding a trailer mounted chipper may be the most effective approach.
